The sweet spot for home turntable enthusiasts on a budget seems to be the $200 mark. This might be the best of the bunch.

One can only imagine the sake-fueled club hopping that led to the development of the Seiko Frequency drum machine watch.

A Treasure Trove Of 'New' Vintage Electronics

Bergelectronics
Jack Berg Sales in El Paso, Texas has been a wholesale electronics dealer since the 1950s. Their liquidation site offers a weird assortment of mostly "New Old Stock" -- brand new vintage items that have been sitting in a warehouse for decades. If you're looking for a shiny chrome and wood-grain Procter Silex toaster (perfect as a mischievous wedding gift), this is the place.

Their goodies include an assortment of tacky transistor radios, 8-track tape machines, record players, LED and early 1980s calculators, TV sets, 1960s movie cameras, and even brand new Atari 2600 cartridges.

Prices aren't cheap, but this might be your only chance to pick up a new 8-track player with 3-speed stacking turntable. Worth a look before it's all gone.
