We've posted stories about watches in the past, but (I think) this is the first honest-to-goodness story I've ever written about useless shiny things. Live Wire Jewelry offers stylish Sterling silver homages to everyday objects. My faves are the 45 RPM record inserts and the precious metal versions of Pez candy. I'm not sure about the silver Froot Loops -- they look a bit too much like fossilized miniature donuts.
