Create Your Own Solar Water Heater
By James Grahame
Here's a link to a really basic solar water heater. It's simply a 2 x 2 foot frame with a couple of black pond liners to absorb heat. Water flows through the system to/from a bucket, and it's capable of heating water to about 100F (37C). This is a great way to demonstrate solar water heating to kids and inquisitive adults. Once you've tried this little toy, you'll be itching to install a real solar water heating system and heat exchanger in your house/tent/flat/apartment/caravan.
