Desktop Movies: Elmo 912 Super 8 Film Viewer

Elmo912

Film projectors require considerable space for setup and viewing. If you’re looking for a quick and easy way to watch your film, consider purchasing a desktop film viewer. These little systems have a small backlit screen that’s perfect for reviewing and editing your reversal (projection) footage after you get it back from the lab.

I own a sturdy little Elmo 912 viewer, but Goko and Minette also made excellent examples. They’re usually inexpensive – well under $100 – and often appear on the used market in good condition. They can be a tad hard to find on the garage sale/pawnshop circuit, though.
