The sweet spot for home turntable enthusiasts on a budget seems to be the $200 mark. This might be the best of the bunch.

One can only imagine the sake-fueled club hopping that led to the development of the Seiko Frequency drum machine watch.

Robot Island presents the Steam Robot

Jay Brotter's Robot Island is a great place to go shopping for the toy robot of your dreams. He recently passed along news of several interesting products including "a Japan released tin toy windup Lost in Space Robot - the first tin lost in space toy ever made. I am also manufacturing a robot with Metal House of Japan this year exclusive to Robot Island."

One of the coolest things I discovered on the site is a fantastic steam robot (pictured above). It's made in Germany and will carry a price tag of around $299. Initial units will be black, followed by red, blue and green. This funky steamer is scheduled to invade sometime during the Summer of 2006.
