Polaroid Updates The Instant Camera

Polaroid PIC 1000
It looks like Polaroid instant photography is set for a resurgence. The Polaroid PIC 1000 was announced at last month's Consumer Electronics Show. It's a sleek modernized version of the classic OneStep camera that will be paired with newly manufactured Polaroid Color 600 Instant Film packs. Each pack lets you snap 10 white-bordered prints that gradually fade into reality... just like their discontinued brethren.

Sadly, it doesn't look like it'll be cheap. While exact numbers haven't been released, word is that the camera will retail for "less than $100." Let's hope it's significantly less, and that the film is reasonably priced. The cameras are still in the mock-up stage, so a lot could change between now and an eventual release.
