Our journeys here on Retro Thing have introduced us to a lot of interesting characters along the way. Many times their unbridled enthusiasm is the flame that keeps their corner of "obscuriana" alive.
For example, think of all of those folks who steadfastly defend analog tape even in the long pixellated shadow of digital music. We're analog fans here on RT too. Everyone knows that I've got more records and tapes than I could listen to in my lifetime. You might think that's a mark of my enthusiasm getting a little out of hand, but it could be worse. For example we could have created the next dance craze, "The Reel To Reel".
