Few people have heard of it, yet many consider John Blankenbaker's KENBAK-1 to be the first commercial personal computer.

Koss introduced these headphones over 40 years ago, and they remain affordable favorites to this day.

British Retrofood

[Giles Perkins must be hungry this evening. Here he is with our first-ever food writeup...]

MarmiteMarmite -- the king of iconoclastic vegetarian spreads -- is somewhat of a British institution. It's unique blend of ingredients (largely yeast), spices and vitamins splits foody Brits right down the middle - you either love it or hate it, there's no third way. So strong is the feeling that the manufacturers have even embarked on their own version of the debate through their TV advertising and now via their fabulous website www.marmite.com.

I for one love the tangy brown gloop, especially on a nice piece of toast (white of course and with butter, just say no to low fat, kids, you know it makes sense), those in North America will have to search in big city delis for this most British of toppings.

When he's not snacking, Giles runs onSuper8.org. It's a brilliant site dedicated to Super 8 film.
