Few people have heard of it, yet many consider John Blankenbaker's KENBAK-1 to be the first commercial personal computer.

Koss introduced these headphones over 40 years ago, and they remain affordable favorites to this day.

The Chuck Pharis Video Gear Collection

Chuck Pharis collects and restores vintage video gear. I'm not talking camcorders and Betamax decks, he's into classic broadcast equipment from the Golden Age of television. His site is a tad challenging to navigate, but it's worth a bit of exploring.

And, if you're in the mood to part with a little of your hard earned cash, he offers reproductions of the original "Indian Head" test pattern that used to grace screens in the USA whenever a station was off the air but the transmitter was still broadcasting.  Apparently, he got his hands on the original artwork -- dated 1938.
