The First Trinitron

Sony recently started retooling many of its CRT plants. Not much of a surprise, given the popularity of modern flat panels. Here's a sentimental look of Sony's first Trinitron color TV.
The Trinitron KV-1310 was introduced in 1968 and met with rave reviews because of it's incredibly bright picture tube technology. It featured a stunning 13 inch screen (cough... cough...) and was the first consumer electronic device to win an Emmy award in the early 1970s.
