This slightly strange device is the Jumbo Single Digit Clock ($20) from Belgian electronics kit maker Velleman. It measures 2.9" x 2.3" x 1.3" and assembles quickly. Velleman USA offers an eclectic array of nifty electronic gadgets and do-it-yourself kits that range from high-end tube amplifiers to flashing LED-based Santa displays.
