Few people have heard of it, yet many consider John Blankenbaker's KENBAK-1 to be the first commercial personal computer.

Koss introduced these headphones over 40 years ago, and they remain affordable favorites to this day.

Remembering Chicago: The Boomer Years - Bohuš works on a TV special!

Remembering_chicago_gfx If you've ever exchanged emails with me, you may have noticed that I sign my emails "modern filmmaker".  That has come to mean a lot of things, but among them is that for the last few months I've been Assistant Producer on a local PBS special, "Remembering Chicago: The Boomer Years".  It's a charming look at Chicago through the lens of amateur filmmakers and interviews with many Chicagoans who grew up in the era.

The show premieres tonight at 7pm on channel 11 in Chicago as part of the station's annual pledge drive.  Like other homebrewed PBS specials, it will be re-run endlessly (as proof it's listed as running again immediately after it ends on Sunday), and probably also be available in neighboring states soon.  I realize that this post is only of possible benefit to my neighbors here in Chicago, but I thought the rest of you might like to know what we Retro Thing folks do when we're not posting at all hours of the night.

For those of you who do watch the special, use the comments section to tell me what you think.  Thanks!
