The Umbrella That A Bubble Boy Can Love

Even though it was the 1970's, the library where I grew up mostly had juvenile fiction from the 1950's.  Much of my childhood was informed by the adventures of Tom Swift, Bubble_carand other speculative sci-fi of the atomic age.  Since then, I've had to come to grips with the fact that I'm probably not going to live in a bubble city or drive a bubble car, but with the Nubrella we can all get a piece of that spherical future right now.

Chicago isn't "the windy city" in name only.  There is constant proof in all the discarded umbrella schrapnel in the streets.  I've had more than a few umbrellas invert in a gale, both ruining the umbrella and forcing me to show up at work soaked.  There are designs out there that try and cope with the situation, but none so radical as this.

Profile_shotThe Nubrella completely surrounds your melon; wind can't get in there to shear the umbrella out of your hands.  Choose between the single handle or the hands-free strap, and you can plunge out into the weather.  In fact - why even go to work anymore?  You're living in the future after all.  You can just wander around the city aimlessly, yucking it up on your cell phone in your wearable window office.
