Few people have heard of it, yet many consider John Blankenbaker's KENBAK-1 to be the first commercial personal computer.

Koss introduced these headphones over 40 years ago, and they remain affordable favorites to this day.

Hasbro's Plastic Puzzle Vision Of The United States

One of the first posts I ever wrote for Retro Thing still gets comments two years later.  I told our dear readers about the Marx Plastic Presidents, a set of figures depicting the leaders of the USA. What better nation for them to preside over than this shiny plastic version of the United States by Hasbro?

Plastic_usa_boxAs a boy when I had to memorize the states and their capitols, a puzzle like this one was invaluable. Once you fit the states into place (the pieces even display the year each state was founded), there are little holes to plug in the names of the state capitols. This Hasbro set has an extra set of little plastic signs for each state because you also have to know the principle product of each state.  The principle product of each state back in 1967 when this set was issued, of course.
