Few people have heard of it, yet many consider John Blankenbaker's KENBAK-1 to be the first commercial personal computer.

Cinematic Titanic Barreling Into a Town Near You

Not 'Santa Claus Conquers the Martians' again!

The crew of Cinematic Titanic is at it again, bringing their revamps of rotten movies to five major cities over the next few weekends. Cinematic Titanic brings together MST3K alums Joel Hodgson, J. Elvis Weinstein, Trace Beaulieu, Frank Conniff, and Mary Jo Pehl to bust out their B-movie barbs in a live theater setting. After their ten year run of skewering clunky retro flicks, who could have guessed that there were still crummy movies left to lampoon? Clearly there is no limit to the depths of indy sci-fi/fantasy cinema, and there's no film so rotten that it cannot be instantly transformed into a lively and raucus evening at the theater.

I can speak with such enthusiasm because I've witnessed the magic firsthand. I saw one of their sold-out live performances here in Chicago in December, and it was tremendous. Even ten years after MST3K's cancellation, it's like the movie-riffing magic never left. You and your sardonic sweetie can sink some cinema swill at the latest Cinematic Titanic show in your town. The crew does an autograph session after each show, so make sure to tell 'em that Retro Thing sent ya!
